Lal my all time buddy played the role of my son in 'Padayottam'in 1981.He called me 'acha'(father),which still is a matter of pride for me. In every quarter of our busy life we find time to share with each other. When asked if he had any complaint about Lal personally, he laughs and replies," yes, I went for Lal's marriage. I had never claimed that I had ever found the actor in Mohanlal.Lal is a born actor with his own style of presentation and acting. In the interview board none other than me and Jijo liked his acting. But we selected him as 'Narendran' in 'Manjil Virinja Pookal'. The villain changed every contemporary concept in Malayalam cinema.
